Alan Stanford - President and CEO

Alan Stanford is an accomplished executive who conceived the vision and business model for My Health Care Manager while serving with his wife as the health care managers for his mother, mother-in law, and father-in-law and dealing directly with the complexity and confusion of their health care issues and options. Prior to founding My Health Care Manager, LLC, he advised leaders and boards of early stage companies on strategy, funding, and development. He moved into his independent advisory role following his sale in 1999 of Broadway and Seymour in Charlotte where he was Chairman and CEO of the publicly-owned software company. Earlier he was a partner of Ernst & Young LLP where he led national and international information technology efforts for the firm from New York, and he remains a retired partner of the firm. He joined E&Y through the merger of the company he founded and led, Data Sciences, Inc. During his consulting career, he provided health care consulting services to Kaiser Permanente’s corporate office and Northern California and Hawaii plans. He also advised Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis on strategic information technology planning to support health care operations. Before Data Sciences, he was with Indiana Bell, then part of AT&T, for 10 years following college.

In Indianapolis, he is a board member of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and has served as a director or trustee for the Children’s Museum, Chamber of Commerce, Art Museum, Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee, Indiana Sports Corporation, Christamore Settlement House, the Indiana Center for Advanced Research, and the Local Organizing Committee and Technology Chair of the Pan American Games and World University Games. Nationally, he has served as director of the IT Services Board and Systems Integration Board of the Information Technology Association of America, The Conference Board’s International Council on Innovation and Technology, and the President’s Council of the Society for Information Management. He is a senior active of Rotary, a Sagamore of the Wabash, and an Honorary Indiana Attorney General. He received his B.A. from Wabash College, Crawfordsville, and his MBA from Butler University, Indianapolis.

Eric Tinsley - Vice President of Research & Development and Chief Technology Officer

Eric Tinsley is an experienced technology leader and entrepreneur with a strong track record successfully building businesses and launching critical initiatives. In his role at My Health Care Manager, LLC, Eric helped to incubate, launch, and build the company. He has lead the team delivering production systems for service delivery and business operations, along with the processes and training required for successful implementation. Prior to joining My Health Care Manager, Eric was the Vice President of Strategic Development and Chief Quality Officer of Quest Information Systems, Inc. He joined Quest as part of a successful merger with Premier Solutions, Inc. where he was CEO and Co-Founder since its inception. Premier had concentrated health care vertical expertise, and Eric led development efforts for applications in disease management, patient/provider communications, provider contract management and claims automation. Before Premier, Eric was with Digital Equipment Corporation in roles as a Program Manager, Large Project Manager, Regional Quality Manager, and Technical Consultant. Eric’s career began at the Indianapolis Center for Advanced Research (ICFAR) where he developed real-time data acquisition and control systems.

Eric serves on the Techpoint Foundation Program Committee as chair, Techpoint Foundation Board of Directors, IUPUI School of Science Dean’s Advisory Council, Carmel Community Players Board of Directors, and School of Science Alumni Board. Past service includes President of IUPUI School of Science Alumni Board, Butler University Software Engineering Advisory Board, Chair of the Indiana BMT Software Committee, Board of Advisors for Isprit, LLC, Board of Directors for iMedNetworks, LLC, Board of Advisors for Espressa Foods, LLC, Indiana Information Technology Association (INITA), Indiana Technology Partnership (ITP), Rotary Club of Indianapolis, Columbia Club of Indianapolis, and the Board of Directors for the National Center for Creativity.

He was recently recognized with the Maynard K. Hine Medal for lasting and significant contribution to the IUPUI campus. Eric has also received the IUPUI School of Science Outstanding Alumni award, AFP Outstanding Small Business Philanthropist of the Year, was a three-time winner of Digital's Excellence Award for outstanding performance, and was named the Outstanding Graduate Student for Computer Science. He received a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Purdue University.

Jean Bandos, MSN, RN, GCNS-BC - Director of Research

Jean is an experienced Gerontological Clinical Nurse Specialist with a vast expertise in care management of the older adult. Her experience has encompassed multiple health care settings including community and university hospitals, home care, and hospice. Throughout her tenure, Jean has served as a consultant, educator, practitioner, and program developer for the older adult population. She has successfully developed and implemented disease/care management programs that demonstrated optimal clinical/fiscal outcomes. Prior to joining My Health Care Manager, LLC, Jean was with Indiana University Medical Group/Wishard Senior Care Program where she served as an advanced practice nurse providing in home geriatric assessments and care coordination for community dwelling older adults.

Jean received her master’s degree in nursing from Indiana University and continues as an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Department of Adult Health serving as a clinical preceptor for master’s of nursing students. She also serves as a Guest Lecturer for both the Indiana University and the University of Louisville School of Nursing. Jean is a member of the National Clinical Nurse Specialist Gerontological Committee and participated in the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialist’s Nurse Competence in Aging Grant development and implementation of geriatric education opportunities and resources for nursing. She is active in many other professional organizations.
