Alan Stanford – Founder & Chairman/CEO

Alan Stanford is an accomplished executive who conceived the vision and business model for My Health Care Manager when he and his wife were challenged by the health care system’s complexity and confusion while caring for his mother and in-laws.

Previously, Alan advised leaders and boards of early stage companies on strategy, funding and development. He took on that role after selling a publicly-traded software company called Broadway and Seymour where he was chairman and CEO. While a partner of Ernst & Young LLP, Alan led national and international information technology efforts following a merger with the company he founded and led, Data Sciences, Inc. During his consulting career, he provided health care consulting services to Kaiser Permanente’s corporate office, Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis as well as Northern California and Hawaii health benefit plans.

Alan is a board member of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and has served in similar capacities with the Indianapolis Children’s Museum, Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee, Indiana Sports Corporation, Christamore Settlement House, the Indiana Center for Advanced Research and the local organizing committees of the Pan American Games and World University Games. Nationally, he has served with the Information Technology Association of America, The Conference Board’s International Council on Innovation and Technology and the president’s council of the Society for Information Management. He is a member of Rotary International, a Sagamore of the Wabash and an honorary Indiana Attorney General. He received his B.A. in economics from Wabash College and his M.B.A. from Butler University.


Jane Niederberger - President

As an experienced health care and technology executive, Jane Niederberger has more than 25 years of success in the health benefits industry. She is the founder of Niederberger Ventures LLC, a member of HALO (an Indiana angel investment group) as well as a past investor and chairman of Medical Animatics LLC. Previously, Jane was vice president and general manager of operations for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s central region, a $16 billion subsidiary of WellPoint. Prior to leading the major consolidation of operations, Jane was Anthem’s senior vice president and chief information officer. As part of the ten member executive leadership team for Anthem Inc., she helped grow the company into one of the largest health benefits companies in the nation, leading to an IPO in October 2001 and the acquisition of WellPoint Health Networks, Inc. in 2004. By focusing on delivering superior service through system innovation, Jane used technology to transform the way Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield does business.

Before joining WellPoint, Jane served for more than a decade at Boston-based Harvard Pilgrim Health Care in many leadership roles focused on quality of care and technology. She co-chaired the New England HEDIS Coalition Subcommittee for Access, Health Plan Management, and Satisfaction issues and measurements, and served as project manager for the production of Harvard Community Health Plan's (HCHP) first HEDIS report.

Jane serves as a board member of HealthX and the Indiana University School of Informatics Dean’s Advisory Council. She also serves on the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Executive Advisory Council and the Women’s Initiative Steering Committee of United Way of Central Indiana. She was recently invited to join the Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Health Care Industry Foundation. Jane served as the chair of Tailwind IT, an economic development group for technology in Greater Indianapolis and received numerous honors including the CIO Agile Award and the Women in High Tech Leading Light Award for distinguished use of technology in services.

Jane received a B.S. in nutrition from Simmons College and a M.B.A. in healthcare administration from Northeastern University.


Eric Tinsley - Vice President of Research & Development and Chief Technology Officer

Eric Tinsley’s strong track record building businesses coupled with technology expertise serves as a strong foundation for his role at My Health Care Manager. He has helped to incubate, launch, and build the company by leading the team delivering production systems for service delivery and business operations, along with the processes and training required for successful implementation.

Previously, Eric was the vice president of strategic development and chief quality officer for Quest Information Systems, Inc., joining as part of a successful merger with Premier Solutions, Inc. where he was CEO and co-founder. At Premier, Eric led development efforts for applications in disease management, patient/provider communications, provider contract management and claims automation. At Digital Equipment Corporation, Eric held multiple roles including program manager, large project manager, regional quality manager and technical consultant. Eric’s career began at the Indianapolis Center for Advanced Research (ICFAR) where he developed real-time data acquisition and control systems.

Eric serves is active in many organizations including as program committee chair for the Techpoint Foundation and board positions with the Techpoint Foundation, IUPUI School of Science Dean’s Advisory Council, Carmel Community Players and School of Science Alumni Board. Past service includes president of IUPUI School of Science Alumni Board, Butler University Software Engineering Advisory Board, chair of the Indiana BMT Software Committee, board of advisors for Isprit, LLC, board of directors for iMedNetworks, LLC, board of advisors for Espressa Foods, LLC, Indiana Information Technology Association (INITA), Indiana Technology Partnership (ITP), Rotary Club of Indianapolis, Columbia Club of Indianapolis, and the board of directors for the National Center for Creativity.

He was recently recognized with the Maynard K. Hine Medal for lasting and significant contribution to the IUPUI campus. Eric has also received the IUPUI School of Science Outstanding Alumni award, AFP Outstanding Small Business Philanthropist of the Year, was a three-time winner of Digital's Excellence Award for outstanding performance, and was named the Outstanding Graduate Student for Computer Science. He received a B.S. and M.S. in computer science from Purdue University.


Jeannie Keenan, RN - Vice President of Care Management Services

Jeannie Keenan is an experienced registered nurse with a multi-faceted health care background. She developed strong clinical skills gained through her tenure in the emergency department and intensive care units at Wishard Hospital in both staff and leadership roles. Jeannie also has several years of experience in long-term care where she functioned as the director of nursing, responsible for quality of care through supervision and training of the nursing staff and as the regional director of clinical operations.

As the regional director, Jeannie oversaw six long-term care facilities, provided training and continued education for the directors of nursing, ensured compliance with state and federal regulations, and performed reimbursement analysis. Jeannie’s high standards of quality care and leadership ability showed in improved Department of Health surveys within her facilities. She received her nursing degree from Ivy Tech State College and participates in continuing education seminars.


Jim Kerr - Vice President of Business Development

Jim Kerr is a skilled sales leader and joins the My Health Care Manager team with years of experience in business development and sales leadership in the health care industry. Most recently, he served as a senior associate and market sales leader for Mercer. Previously, Jim was the vice president of business development for CareGuide, Inc (formerly The Haelan Group), where his primary responsibilities included revenue generation, client acquisition/retention, marketing and public relations. As a result, the company won multiple awards and Jim helped them gain national press coverage; increase their client base while managing a nationwide team of sales agents. His other previous experience includes business development positions at INRANGE Global Solutions (formerly ONEX, Inc) and AT&T.

Jim is active in the Indianapolis community, serving as a board member and president of the Indianapolis Association of Wabash Men, and as a past vice-chair of the Indianapolis Zoological Society’s corporate campaign. He is also active in his local church community. Jim received a B.A. in political science from Wabash College.


Stephanie Simmons – Vice President of Marketing

Stephanie Simmons’ hands-on training as an innovative marketing leader and brand builder has meant multiple awards and national recognition for the Fortune 250 companies where she worked. Most recently, she was vice president, sales and marketing for TWG Capital, a privately-held, Indianapolis-based financial company which specializes in the insurance industry. At YRC Regional Transportation, she led successful brand positioning and marketing campaigns. For Roadway, she was a webmaster and managed exhibits, sports marketing and retail design. In her current role as vice president of marketing for My Health Care Manager, she is responsible for brand development, marketing strategy and communications.

Stephanie has been a featured speaker, blogger and columnist for insurance and finance industry publications and marketing conferences. She received a B.S. in broadcast journalism from Kent State University.


Jean Bandos, MSN, RN, GCNS-BC - Director of Research

Jean is an experienced gerontological clinical nurse specialist with vast expertise in care management of older adults. Her experience encompasses multiple health care settings including community and university hospitals, home care and hospice. Throughout her tenure, Jean has served as a consultant, educator, practitioner and program developer for older adults. She has successfully developed and implemented disease/care management programs that demonstrated optimal clinical/fiscal outcomes. Prior to joining My Health Care Manager, Jean was with Indiana University Medical Group/Wishard Senior Care Program where she served as an advanced practice nurse providing in home geriatric assessments and care coordination for community dwelling older adults.

Jean received her M.S. degree in nursing from Indiana University and continues as an adjunct assistant professor with the department of adult health serving as a clinical preceptor for graduate nursing students. She also serves as a guest lecturer for both the Indiana University and the University of Louisville schools of nursing. Jean is a member of the National Clinical Nurse Specialist Gerontological Committee and participated in the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialist’s Nurse Competence in Aging Grant development and implementation of geriatric education opportunities and resources for nursing. She is also active in many other professional organizations.


Mary Reiman - Applications Development Director

Mary Reiman joined My Health Care Manager, LLC after many years in the IT field. Mary began her career on the Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis campus, first with the School of Engineering and Technology and then with the IU School of Medicine. Mary is experienced in Microsoft technologies and she has served in the roles of application developer, analyst, database designer, and web master. She has had experience with system administration for Microsoft SQL Server, Integration Information Services, and SharePoint. At the IU School of Medicine, Mary was the Manager of Systems Integration overseeing a development staff of six charged with creating enterprise-wide applications serving both the student and faculty of the School of Medicine.

Mary received a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University.
