Management Team


Alan Stanford - President and CEO
Alan Stanford is an experienced executive and entrepreneur who conceived the vision and business model for My Health Care Manager while acting as the health care manager for his mother, mother-in law, and father-in-law and dealing directly with the complexity and confusion of their health care issues and options. Prior to founding My Health Care Manager, LLC, he advised leaders and boards of early stage companies on strategy, funding, and development. For one client, Escient Technologies, he served as its president before resuming his strategic advisory role. He moved into his independent advisory role following his sale in 1999 of Broadway and Seymour in Charlotte where he was Chairman and CEO of the publicly-owned software company. Earlier he was a partner of Ernst & Young LLP where he led national and international information technology efforts for the firm from New York, and he remains a retired partner of the firm. He joined E&Y through the merger of the company he founded and led, Data Sciences, Inc. During his consulting career, he provided personal services to Kaiser Permanente’s corporate office and Northern California and Hawaii plans. He also advised Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis, on strategic information technology planning to support health care operations. Before Data Sciences, he was with Indiana Bell, then part of AT&T, for 10 years following college.
In Indianapolis, he is a board member of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and has served as a director or trustee for the Children’s Museum, Chamber of Commerce, Art Museum, Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee, Indiana Sports Corporation, Christamore Settlement House, the Indiana Center for Advanced Research, and the Local Organizing Committee and Technology Chair of the Pan American Games and World University Games. Nationally, he has served as director of the IT Services Board and Systems Integration Board of the Information Technology Association of America, The Conference Board’s International Council on Innovation and Technology, and the President’s Council of the Society for Information Management. He is a senior active of Rotary, a Sagamore of the Wabash, and an Honorary Indiana Attorney General. He received his B.A. from Wabash College, Crawfordsville, and his MBA from Butler University, Indianapolis.
Anita Siccardi, EdD, APRN, BC - Director of Professional Services
Anita is certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner whose research and practice has focused on older adults. She leads the University of Indianapolis graduate nursing program in addition to her duties with My Health Care Manager. Her teaching areas include Medical Surgical Nursing, Assessment of Older Adults, Death and Dying, and Direct Wellness. Her research areas include Standards of Nursing, Empowerment, Forgiveness, and Older Adult Quality of Life. She is active in many professional organizations including the Gerontological Nursing Association and the Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
She serves on the boards of CICOA, the Central Indiana Agency on Aging, and the National Gerontological Nursing Association. Anita received her B.S. in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University, her Med from the University of Pittsburgh, and her M.S.N and Ed.D. from Indiana University.


Eric Tinsley - Process, Technology and Training Vice President
Eric Tinsley is an experienced technology leader and entrepreneur with a strong track record successfully building businesses and launching critical initiatives. Prior to joining My Health Care Manager, LLC, Eric was the Vice President of Strategic Development and Chief Quality Officer of Quest Information Systems, Inc. He joined Quest as part of a successful merger with Premier Solutions, Inc. where he was CEO and Co-Founder since its inception. Premier had concentrated health care vertical expertise, and Eric led development efforts for applications in disease management, patient/provider communications, provider contract management and claims automation. Before Premier, Eric was with Digital Equipment Corporation in roles as a Program Manager, Large Project Manager, Regional Quality Manager, and Technical Consultant. Eric’s career began at the Indianapolis Center for Advanced Research (ICFAR) where he developed real-time data acquisition and control systems.
Eric serves on the Techpoint Foundation Program Committee, Board of Advisors for Isprit, LLC, IUPUI School of Science Dean’s Advisory Council, Carmel Community Players Board of Directors, Butler University Software Engineering Advisory Board, School of Science Alumni Board, and Citizens for Better Neighborhoods. Past service includes President of IUPUI School of Science Alumni Board, Chair of the Indiana BMT Software Committee, Board of Directors for iMedNetworks, LLC, Board of Advisors for Espressa Foods, LLC, Indiana Information Technology Association (INITA), Indiana Technology Partnership (ITP), Rotary Club of Indianapolis, Columbia Club of Indianapolis, and the Board of Directors for the National Center for Creativity.
He has also been recognized with the IUPUI School of Science Outstanding Alumni award, AFP Outstanding Small Business Philanthropist of the Year, was a three-time winner of Digital's Excellence Award for outstanding performance, and was named the Outstanding Graduate Student for Computer Science. He received a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Purdue University.

Amy Furry - Programs and Services Advisor
Amy Furry has experience in multiple sectors of the health care industry including health plans, pharmacy benefit management, health care information management, health insurance, provider relations, and Medicaid.
Her health care industry experience includes managing and providing strategy consulting to the Ford Motor Company and WellPoint Health Networks program to oversee health care benefits to global active and retired Ford employees, marketing and product development for Anthem Prescription Management, market development for Athena of North America, and strategy consultant to Acordia and Anthem, Inc. (now WellPoint). Prior to these roles, she assisted Maxicare Indiana in providing education and resolving complaints regarding their HMO. Amy received her B.S. from Purdue University and her MBA from Butler University.

Jean Bandos, MSN, CNS, APRN, BC - Health Care Manager Support Director
Jean is an experienced Gerontological Clinical Nurse Specialist with a vast expertise in care management of the older adult. Her experience has encompassed multiple health care settings including community and university hospitals, home care, and hospice. Throughout her tenure, Jean has served as a consultant, educator, practitioner, and program developer for the older adult population. She has successfully developed and implemented disease/care management programs that demonstrated optimal clinical/fiscal outcomes. Prior to joining My Health Care Manager, LLC, Jean was with Indiana University Medical Group/Wishard Senior Care Program where she served as an advanced practice nurse providing in home geriatric assessments and care coordination for community dwelling older adults.
Jean received her master’s degree in nursing from Indiana University and continues as an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Department of Adult Health serving as a clinical preceptor for master’s of nursing students. She also serves as a Guest Lecturer for both the Indiana University and the University of Louisville School of Nursing. Jean is a member of the National Clinical Nurse Specialist Gerontological Committee and participated in the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialist’s Nurse Competence in Aging Grant development and implementation of geriatric education opportunities and resources for nursing. She is active in many other professional organizations.


Karen Witt - Employer Program Manager
Karen Witt is the former Director of the Christel DeHaan Family Foundation. In this role she directed the day-to-day operations of the $46M family foundation, including annual budgeting, grant review, and grant administration. She represented the foundation in the community and was accountable to the Board of Directors.
Prior to joining the Foundation in June of 1999 as a Grants Administrator, Karen held a number of administrative positions working for senior level executives at Chevron Corporation, Resort Condominiums International (RCI), Nalco Chemical Company, and Rubbermaid, Inc. She developed procedures to streamline operations, participated in strategic planning, created systems for ISO 9000 certification, interfaced with customers, and coordinated domestic and international staff reporting and communications.
Karen is a member of the Stanley K. Lacey Leadership Association in Indianapolis. She is a former member of the Indiana Grantmakers Alliance Program Committee and has served on the Development Committee for the Walther Cancer Institute. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Allegheny College and pursued additional coursework in Business Administration at Villanova University.

Jennifer Roach - Marketing Associate
Jennifer Roach complements the My Health Care Manager team with her background in marketing. Originally from Kansas, she worked at the Lawrence location of Evansville-based Berry Plastics in the marketing department of the Drink Cup division, completing competitor analysis, creating tradeshow giveaways, and supporting the sales team. Jennifer also has experience working in the fast paced environment of startup companies, as she helped a startup children’s apparel company analyze suppliers and explore international sales opportunities. Most recently, Jennifer worked at ADESA, Inc. as an analyst in the Organizational Effectiveness department. She mapped and documented business, operations, and administrative processes; identified opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce cost; and analyzed the profitability of departments across auction sites.
Jennifer received both a B.S. in Business Management with a marketing concentration and a B.A. in French with distinction from the University of Kansas. She lived in France for a year, taking graduate business courses at l’Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Clermont-Ferrand, France. She is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.

Anne Auwaerter - Office Manager
Anne Auwaerter has over sixteen years of administrative experience working for local government. She served as the Assistant to the Director of Public Works and Assistant to the Director of the Wastewater Treatment Department for the Town of Fishers, Indiana.
Prior experience included work in the media serving as an Editorial Staff Member for the Noblesville Daily Ledger and News/Public Affairs Director for WFBM-AM radio.
She also is a member of the Board of Directors of the Hamilton County Theatre Guild.
Anne received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Ball State University.


Katie Eller - Training Manager
Katie Eller is certified as an advanced social worker in gerontology, and is a licensed social worker and a qualified mental retardation professional. She joins my Health Care Manager from a position as the Social Service Director of Garden Villa, a long-term care company, where she provided social work administration, counseling, case management, gerontology leadership, and dementia training for the staff. Prior to relocating to Indiana, Katie held various positions as a social worker in St. Louis. In addition to working at a hospital, she served the older adult population as a social worker for both an assisted living facility and the affiliated independent senior housing complex. She has experience in gerontological research, case management, crisis intervention, and discharge planning.
In her role as an associate faculty member at Indiana University’s School of Social Work, Katie teaches geriatric social work. She is a member of the Indiana chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, a Conference Committee member with the Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, and previously served as a board member of the Indiana Association of Adult Day Services. Katie received her bachelor’s of social work from Ball State University. She earned her master’s of social work with a gerontology concentration from Washington University in St. Louis.

Adam Bowling - Developer/Analyst
Adam Bowling joins My Health Care Manager after years of work in the IT field. His most recent experience includes independent consulting for a number of local business entities including Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indianapolis Tennis Championships (formerly RCA Tennis Championships), the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, @Work Solutions, Historical Solutions, and Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Centers. He is well-versed in ASP.Net and SQL Server among others and his projects have included network administration, creation of online feedback systems with real-time reporting tools, development of company intranets, and website development and maintenance. Prior to his career in consulting, Adam served as the IT Manager/ Principal of Thomas P. Miller & Associates.
Adam received a bachelor’s of arts in history as well as an MBA from the University of Indianapolis.
